Some of the popular businesses nearby are Wild Bill's Airboat Tours, Fisherman's Restaurant, Just Horsing Around Horse Rentals, and The Half Moon Gum Slough, the 75 Chrome Shop for your RV maintenance and repair needs, or just to fill up your Propane tanks. The nearby Brownwood Village offers many stores, restaurants and daily entertainment with live music, drinks and dancing at the Village Square. Check it out!

Our Town In Citrus County

 "Mother Nature's Theme Park" Offering a Natural Alternative!

Rolling hills, naturally beautiful crystal clear springs, rivers and lakes set this section of Florida apart from other areas in this State. Citrus County covers 683 Square Miles, of which more than 152,000 acres are set aside as Public and Protected lands. It's home to the largest herd of endangered manatees in the state and boasts seven outstanding Florida Waterways: Citrus County has a Rich History of Pre-Columbian mound builders, Spanish Explorers, Grover Cleveland, Winslow Homer, the fully restored in 1912 Courthouse and Museum, gigantic fishbowl, National Register Historic Neighborhoods, even Elvis Presley, all are a part of Citrus County's history and present day lore. There are Festivals and events galore in Citrus County. Annual happenings include the Crystal River Jam, Florida Manatee Festival, Homosassa Arts, Crafts Seafood Festival, Floral City Strawberry Festival, Heritage Village Scarecrow Festival, Theatre, Concerts, and lectures, there is something for everyone! The average year-round Temperature is 70 degrees, with about 294 days of sunshine. Winter Temperatures average 60 degrees, with Summer Temperatures of 82 degrees. The County is located on Florida's Nature Coast (west-central) and the Gulf of Mexico, it's 60 miles northwest of Orlando and 70 miles north of Tampa Bay. Both, the Orlando and Tampa International Airports are within 60-minutes of Citrus County and they are served by all major carriers.
